1. Drives technical design and implementation. Proactively raises issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance or architectural issues in the application
2. Provides demonstrated expertise in selected area of the technology/application/system
3. Participates in project  planning, technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and contributes to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews
4. Responsible for /Assists in the architectural planning and software design, ensuring coding standards and practices are met in regards to coding and documentation, as well as, providing insight and direction into testing and implementation
5. Collaborates with business analyst and business managers/users to ensure understanding of business requirements
6. Demonstrates self-directed and proactive approach to tackling problems and leveraging resources. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all stakeholders and internally within the team
7. Proactively mentors team members. Assist managers in drawing up development plans for developers and executing the same
8. Adopt and enforce all software development life cycle processes as well as internal quality processes
9. Immediately raise issues or risks to the successful and timely completion of deliverables to the Project Manager or immediate supervisor

10.  Day to day interaction with quality assurance, technical support, external application owners and business users to effectively close open work items.

1. The candidate should have over 7+ years of BI Technical experience covering Enterprise Data Warehouse /  Data Mart Solutions, DWH Consolidation/ Redesign, Data Model/ETL & OLAP Strategy/Data Quality Strategy definition, BI Tool Standardization
2. The candidate should have 5+ years experience in working on SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 tools (SSIS/DTS, SSAS, SSRS) & Business Objects XI
3. The candidate should have strong design skills in areas of data modelling, OLAP (Cube Development), universe and report/scorecard/dashboard development in BOXI and Voyager
4. Experience in leading a team 5-8 developers and interacting with global stakeholders
5. Experience in providing work estimates
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Must demonstrate strong management of testing process, release management and version control
